Education and training for health professionals
Andrology Australia provides evidence-based information, training programs and other resources about reproductive health disorders and associated conditions for health professionals providing care to males.
Courses and programs have been based on examples of cases or problems commonly encountered by health professionals in day to day clinical life experiences.
Where applicable, courses are accredited for GPs through the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) Quality Improvement and Continuing Professional Education (QI&CPD) Program and the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) Professional Development Program (PDP) and/or are endorsed by the Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association (APNA) according to approved quality standards criteria for CPD hours. This information is indicated on the respective courses.
The broad aims of the education programs listed are:
- To provide knowledge and core skills in the detection and management of a range of common male reproductive health disorders and associated conditions to all interested health professionals including those in training for general practice.
- To provide those health professionals with a special interest in men’s reproductive health with advanced level knowledge and skills.
Andrology Australia’s eLearning portal provides free online male reproductive health education for GPs (RACGP and ACRRM accredited) and primary health care nurses.
All courses are available for any health professionals as self-directed learning.
